Objective

Verify ability to restore system functionality and financial data from backup and snapshot exports.

Pre-test checklist

• ☐ Confirm latest database backup available
• ☐ Confirm latest snapshot export available
• ☐ Identify isolated test environment

Step 1 — Restore database

1. Provision clean database instance.
2. Import latest backup.
3. Confirm user login works.
4. Verify transaction counts match expected totals.

Step 2 — Validate snapshot export

1. Open snapshot CSV.
2. Confirm structure intact.
3. Spot-check random records.

Step 3 — Generate reports

1. Run monthly summary.
2. Generate year-end pack.
3. Verify totals align with expected figures.
